FLASH GIVEAWAY: Six Days in Rome by Francesca Giacco – ROME

16th August 2022

We are delighted to have teamed up with Headline Books to offer you 3 copies (three winners) of Six Days in Rome by Francesca Giacco. It is out in paperback on the 18th August!

Six Days in Rome

Emilia, an artist, arrives in Rome alone. What was supposed to be a romantic trip has, with the sudden end of her relationship, become a solitary one.

Six days lie ahead. She wanders the streets, surrendering herself to the music, food and beauty of the city.

But when she meets John, an American living out a seemingly idyllic existence in Rome, their instant connection challenges how she sees her past, her family and herself. As their intimacy deepens, can Emilia begin to imagine life anew?

Visceral, decadent and deeply evocative, Six Days in Rome is a novel about reckoning with complex pasts and choices made – and finding what you didn’t know you were looking for.

A stunning writer and a brilliant transporting experience’ Lisa Taddeo, bestselling author of Three Women and Animal

I love Rome! It’s a wonderful place. I have some very fond memories of my time there and particularly enjoyed visiting all the main tourist sites – the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Piazza Navona, the Altar of the Fatherland, and St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, to name but a few.

years ago, travelling around Europe by train, I lost track of the days and turned up in Rome on Easter Sunday looking for accomodation – not the best date to do it. Sorted in the end but Rome was a lovely place to visit for a couple of days and would love to go back

Proposed to my wife in Rome, at the Trevi Fountain, it was so romantic. We’re divorced now like.

Rome is the city where I first fell in love–with Rome!

You cannot see all of Rome in one day because there are many different quarters of Rome to explore. A whole day can be taken to explore The Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s. The Colosseum, Arena and Forum also require a lengthy visit to really appreciate its history, and Rome’s Fountains are another eye-catching visit. For those who love expensive shops the Via Veneto is not to be missed.

I never get tired of ROME : there are always more things to see. And next time I must try and visit (Archeologists permitting) The Domus Aurea, a vast landscaped complex built by the Emperor in the heart of ancient Rome after the great fire destroyed most of the City in 64 AD.
