They don’t know what I did. And I intend to keep it that way.
How far would you go to win? Hyper-competitive people, mind games and a dangerous natural environment combine to make the must-read thriller of the year. Fans of Lucy Foley and Lisa Jewell will be gripped by spectacular debut novel Shiver.
When Milla is invited to a reunion in the French Alps resort that saw the peak of her snowboarding career, she drops everything to go. While she would rather forget the events of that winter, the invitation comes from Curtis, the one person she can’t seem to let go.
The five friends haven’t seen each other for ten years, since the disappearance of the beautiful and enigmatic Saskia. But when an icebreaker game turns menacing, they realise they don’t know who has really gathered them there and how far they will go to find the truth.
In a deserted lodge high up a mountain, the secrets of the past are about to come to light.

St Petersburg in cold, crisp snowy conditions.
I’d go to Canada.
I’d love to go to Canada!
I would go to the Highlands of Scotland or Switzerland.
I’d love to be in Norway – fantastic scenery
Lapland
Courchevel in France would be my choice for skiing
It would have to be somewhere isolated, in either Switzerland or Canada, so that I could read the amazing Shiver in peace whilst enjoying the stunning scenery!
I’d go to Lapland as I’ve never been but Norway is high on my list too. I’d love to see Aurora Borealis!
Lapland to meet Santa and his reindeer
Geneva… lovely lakeside hotel and a drive to the slopes. Best of both worlds
Lake louise canada, would climb mountain to reach snow covered peak and get hot drink from cafe cabin.
Would love to go back to St Moritz in Switzerland
I would love to go back to Iceland, but if I wanted to go to a snow covered paradise that I have not yet seen, I think I would choose Norway.
I would go to Iceland Bound to find a corpse or two and a murder to investigate
I would take the family to Lapland, it is on my list of places I would love to visit, along with Iceland.
I would love to go back skiing in Austria. I haven’t been for some years but it was a wonderful winter wonderland!
The Highlands of Scotland. Stunning scenery and so peaceful and quiet.
“There’s No Place Like Home!” Bonnie Scotland
Lapland!!!
Hi Tina and the Gang,
That’s an easy one for me to answer.
It would have to be Wengen, at the foot of the Jungfrau, in the beautiful Lauterbrunnen Valley, of the Bernese Oberland, in Switzerland.
We have enjoyed many holidays staying in the central resort of Interlaken, (unfortunately several years ago now!) from where so many places are accessible as day trips, including Wengen, which is beautiful in both summer and winter
Although I have to say that it would be for the walking and hiking, definitely not the skiing!

Norway would be fantastic
I would love to go to the Swiss Alps. Gluwein and a roaring fire and a good book. Might even be better than the skiing!!
The snow covered Highlands of Scotland!
I would love to go back to Austria where I went skiing over 10 years ago! ⛷
I would love to see the northern lights, so anywhere that lets that happen really.

I’d love to go to Canada.
I would like to go to Meiringen, Switzerland for a winter walking holiday.
I’d like to go to Whistler. It looks magical in the snow.
I think I would like to gp exploring in Canada 🙂
I would go to Austria, to the town of St Wolfgang – I’ve been there in the summer and loved it, and friends who have been in the winter say it is really magical
I would love to go to Switzerland
I’d visit members of my family in rural Manitoba, Canada, who I haven’t seen for 30 years. The snowscape photos they post on Facebook look so enticing & I know I ‘d be sure of a warm welcome.
I would love to visit Switzerland for snow and amazing chocolate!
I’d go back to Chamonix – to relive my ski-ing days.
I would take my children to Lapland
I would go to Switzerland
My winter wonderland was always Kazakhstan. High up above Almaty is the open air ice skating rink where Soviet speed skaters used to train. And above that via a hairpin bend road is Chimbulak. Snow, sun, skiing and shashlik!
French Alps for me
I would go to Iceland, where I could lie in a thermal hotspring & watch the Northern Lights at the same time!
But I probably wouldn’t, because I don’t really like snow unless I can stay indoors & watch it falling!
Alaska
I’d love to go to Iceland and see the Northern Lights!
I would love to surprise my girls with a trip to Lapland but I think my Husband would rather go somewhere where he could do some downhill skiing!
At this time of year it would have to be Lapland with the kids, before they’re a bit too old and the magic vanishes
It would be Lapland, I watched some travel vlogs on it last year and it looked so magical. I would be doing all the Christmas things 🙂
I would go somewhere in Canada as I’ve always wanted to go from coast to coast in one of those tourist trains with the glass roof but I would stop off somewhere for the skiing!
I would pick Val d’Isere because it featured on Ski Sunday so much.
