Escape to the beautiful Greek Island of Hydra with this moving novel, filled with family secrets and romance

Emma Cowell, author of THE HOUSE IN THE OLIVE GROVE, returns with her brand new, emotional and romantic novel set on an idyllic Greek Island.

Hydra, the picturesque Greek island, is a paradise for most, yet for sisters Ella and Georgia, it is a place where their darkest secrets dwell. And now the time has come for them to confront their past as they return to Greece to scatter their mother’s ashes.

Ella is haunted by a love song that was written for her by the man who broke her heart years earlier and she longs to find peace so she can move on with her life.

Georgia pretends everything in her life is perfect, but she is plagued with guilt. If what she’s kept hidden for decades was revealed, their family would never be the same again.

I love to stand on Grecian sand, and take in the stillness of the air and atmosphere, yet it is dotted with the crackle of electric energy. Greece is truly a magical place, steeped in history, and history being made.
The people are friendly and welcoming, the food is perfection, and there is a sense of belonging……and most of the time the weather is great.

I’ve never been but my Sister in Law lived in Crete for 20 years and I would love to see where she lived. I also read Victoria Hislop’s The Island and want to see Spinalonga.

I love the food and all the sights that Athens had to offer, followed by a wonderful week on the island of Aegina – the hotel had only just opened so everything was new and fresh – plus super food and drink. It was wonderful – can’t wait to go back.

I love everything about Greece, have had some wonderful holidays on the most beautiful islands. The food, the people, the history, the culture can’t be bettered in my opinion. I’d love to devour these three books.
