Giveaway – A Christmas package including 2 books to transport you to Greece).
We are delighted to have a copy each of Peel Me a Lotus (set on Hydra) and Mermaid Singing (set on Kalymnos) by Charmian Clift, with forewords by Polly Samson. As the nights draw in we all need a blast of Greek sunshine to cheer us up!
We have popped them into a really festive context with a Christmas themed furoshhiki (Japanese wrapping cloth) and a variety of decorations. And what is a giveaway without at least some chocolate? We can assure you the package will be a delight to unpack!

My festive plans are very minimal this year, as they have been for the past 2 Christmases, as well, thanks to Covid! My family get together is too far for me to drive to, given my back problems & night blindness, so I will be getting in some tasty treats for myself, maybe a miniature or two, and will be spending the day itself lazing in the bath, reading (of course!) and listening to carols on Classic FM. Not too unpleasant, really!
On Boxing Day, the family will be closer to hand, so I will see everyone then, instead!
