I have read so many wonderful stories of Berlin and its various neighbourhoods, each with their own different characters. I would love to visit for real and take some time exploring on foot to compare my jumbled impressions with the reality.
Love to take a Rhône cruise slowly seeing beautiful castles and stopping in towns along the way
I’d like to go to Ostholstein and stay by the sea: I spent a summer there working in a hotel to improve my German thirty years ago and would love to have a chance to see that beautiful area again!

Heidelberg-sitting on the river in a beautiful valley and a university town full of life and historical interest would be a wonderful visit.

I would love to go to Koblenz and Trier. These are 2 of the places my Grandad who is now 100 years old, went through when he was a prisoner of war. He escaped twice and was recaptured both times. He then went on a 33 day forced march and saw parts of Germany along the way. I would love to see the places he has told me so much about.

Neuschwanstein Castle
I would love to see the devil’s bridge located in Kromlauer Park in Eastern Germany. It is fascinating to see how the curvature of the bridge is designed to be one half of a perfect circle, so that when the waters are still and the light is right, it creates the illusion of a complete stone circle. It would be a dream come true to see this amazing human build structure from stone from 1860!
I’d love to explore the Bavarian countryside and see some of the spectacular castles and drink some beers too!
