GIVEAWAY! – Take a trip to FRANCE with Sébastien Japrisot

6th September 2020

Giveaway! – Take a trip to France with Sébastien Japrisot. Sorry, UK entries only.

We are especially delighted to be able to offer you 2 copies of each of these top thrillers by Sébastien Japrisot. And we have THREE sets to giveaway:

The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun

The Sleeping Car Murders

Take a trip to FRANCE with Sébastien Japrisot

The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun

Dany Longo is blonde, beautiful — and thoroughly unpredictable. After doing a favour for her boss, she finds herself behind the wheel of his exquisite Thunderbird on a sun-kissed Parisian morning. On impulse she decides to head south.

What started as an impromptu joy-ride rapidly takes a turn for the chilling when strangers all along the unfamiliar route swear they recognise Dany from the previous day. But that’s impossible: she was at work, she was in Paris, she was miles away… wasn’t she?

From the author of A Very Long Engagement comes a tangled, terrifying psychological thriller worthy of Georges Simenon, Paula Hawkins or Patricia Highsmith.

The Sleeping Car Murders

A beautiful young woman lies sprawled on her berth in the sleeping car of the night train from Marseille to Paris. She is not in the embrace of sleep, or even in the arms of one of her many lovers. She is dead. And the unpleasant task of finding her killer is handed to overworked, crime-weary police detective Pierre ‘Grazzi’ Grazziano, who would rather play hide-and-seek with his little son than cat and mouse with a diabolically cunning, savage murderer.

Sébastien Japrisot takes the reader on an express ride of riveting suspense that races through a Parisian landscape of lust, deception and death. With corpses turning up everywhere, the question becomes not only who is the killer, but who will be the next victim . . .

We initially picked 2 names who hadn’t joined up as members. Being a member is a stipulation to enter, so sadly, those 2 have lost out #justsaying

When I read Three Days and a Life by Pierre Lemaitre (brilliant book) it was set in a sleepy backwater town where everyone’s knows everyone’s business and is surrounded by forests. Then last year my sister went there on holiday (to ride horses) and said although there was nothing to do it was so peaceful with endless green space so wander through. This town is Beauval in Northern France.
