My wife and I are big fans off the ‘Olive’ books by Carol, so we hope you win this one so that we can both read it this summer in our garden sipping a glass of Pimm’s. Btw, we love to go to Arles!!!
I would like to visit Marseille.
San tropez!
The whole Provence region makes me want to pack my bags, leave and never come back. 😀
If I had to choose one place, it would probably be Nice.
cannes film festival
I’d love to visit Arles – amazing history and architecture and great for walks too
The South of France makes me greedy—so I will pick 3 places: Grasse (so I can dally in flower fields and think i’m In the Garden of Eden), Eze (so I can actually see for myself those 180 degree Cote d’Azur Views as the birds do) and Cap d’Antibes (so I can view the place through Picasso’s wacky eyes).
St Tropez for me! My books are set near there…
I just finished reading “The Olive Farm”……what a beautiful book!!!!! I can not wait to read Carol’s other books. Not only is she a wonderful actress….she is a gifted writer as well.
San Tropez, definitely. I hope I win. I’d love to read this book. Thanks for the opportunity.
Would love to visit Avignon!
San Tropez ❤️
Caracassonne (probably spelt wrong). I’d love to explore those medieval walls!
I’d pick San Tropez because the whole old world glamour sounds so pleasant and inviting.
San Tropez
I would love to see the whole country. Lyon, Cannes, the French alps.
I would like to visit the film festival at Cannes
Cannes to relive a memory of a day trip there with my Dad. We were staying as a family at a campsite down the coast and Dad took me to the city for the day, it felt like such a treat. I still remember eating a tomato and mozzarella salad, drinking Perrier and feeling very sophisticated!
Marseille for me – it is a little bit dirty and dangerous. Perfect for looking for scoundrels.
I would love to travel to Marseille! A very special and enchanting port city! Thank you for this chance!

Avignon for the history. Beautiful historic buildings.
I would love to visit Marseilles….
I would LOVE to read your book! A fictional trip to the South of France is a getaway I could lose myself in. Cannes has always been fascinating to me.
Carcassone. My dream place.
A very timely competition as I’m off to the South of France next week for a few days, mainly for the Monaco GP but I also plan to do some sightseeing too. I shall be staying in Nice and want to explore some of the smaller villages around there.
I would love to go back to Uze near Avignon. I have such happy memories of a fabulous day there, many years ago, on one of our first family holidays. The smells and sounds still linger but need refreshing!
Saint-Tropez as it is a popular place for yachting which I love watching. Take a stroll down the cobblestone streets, and browse the open-air markets
San Tropez, dahling!
I love all things medical so I’d like to visit Montpellier’s anatomy and pharmacy museums!
Carcassone where the new Kate Mosse book The Burning Chambers is partly set.
La Croix Val Mer for the almost empty beach and the wonderful market
St Paul de Vence
Old world glamour for me! San Tropez sounds exotic
St Maries de la Mer
Cagnes-sur-mer, a hilltop village near Nice. Perfect medieval atmosphere with sea views. And, some delicious restaurants and fun shops.
It would be medieval Albi, birthplace of Toulouse-Lautrec and capital of the Tarn, to see the magnificent Cathedral and Bridge and visit the Toulouse-Lautrec museum.
I would love to return to the Luberon region, full of many beautiful towns, rich colours and breathtaking lavender. If on the coast, then a trip to Menton, such a beautiful place with all its vibrant buildings and lemon festival.
Any of them! Can I leave now?!
Definitely San Tropez for me! Sounds divine.
It will be Avignon for The palais des papes, love medieval Gothic buildings and the history behind which was once a palace and papal residence.
I would love to visit Port Grimaud, near Saint Tropez and soak up some of the luxury and decadence there!
Marseille. I would love to see the fish market.
Definitely Marseilles for the history.
I would go ANYWHERE in southern France but am intrigued by Marseille. I have a weakness for port cities, having lived in Norfolk, VA for 18 years. I love Genoa, Italy for the same reason.
I would love to visit Cannes. Or any of the area around Carol’s olive farm! She describes it so beautifully in her books….I can almost smell the rosemary & orange blossoms!
I would love to read this House on the Edge of a Cliff. Having often travelled to the south of France as I find this interesting.
Antibes a jewel in the Crown of all the resorts on the med
The Camargue to see the beautiful white horses.
I would love to take my girlfriend Clare to Toulon, I have many happy memories from being there years ago whilst in the Royal Navy.
Carcassonne To soak up the history and architecture, top of my visit list
I learned about Carcassonne years ago in school and I’ve always wanted to go there.
Though many love the gorgeous sights like Eze in the Cote D’Azur or Avignon in Provence, I’d love to explore the Languedoc region- especially the medieval gem of Carcassonne.
Have spent a lovely holiday in Cavalaire – and visited Cannes and St Tropez – lovely area, lovely food and wine.
Yes please, would to read this book.
Cannes during the film festival, so glamorous!
Cannes would be amazing
Monte Carlo!
It would have to be Nice!
I’d love to win some books,
I’d like to see Avignon for the architecture and Biarritz for the beach!
I’d love to go to Monaco to see how the other half lives!
Nice
Antibes — Seems to have everything.
Monte Carlo for the Grand Prix!
Would love to go to Nice!
I’d like to revisit Arles, and the Camargue region, for its natural beauty and wildlife. We passed through there on a small yacht in 1988; I’d love to see if much has changed. In my mind, it hasn’t. I remember the sound of thousands of frogs croaking, keeping me awake the whole night!
I would like to return to Nice! Because it’s nice!
I have been there several times & always feel very comfortable there!
Oradour-sur-Glane to pay my respects for the victims of the massacre in June 1944. 642 were brutally murdered by the Nazis.
I’d pick Montpelier so I could see the botanical garden, the medieval architecture and visit the Museé Fabre. Hear the weather is quite nice too!
My dream location is Antibes – fab mix of old world glamour & small town french traditionalism. Lovely cafes, beautiful beach & touch of culture with the Picasso museum!
A DREAM summer read – so hope im lucky and celebrating with you
San Tropez would be my ideal destination with all the iconic architecture and the hope of bumping into (not literally!) some of the glamorous stars from the silver screen.
Cap d’Antibes. Though I’d happily go anywhere, to be honest.
I would like to visit most is: San Tropez
I’m actually visiting Marseilles this summer. But would like to see Cannes too – my favourite place in the South of France I visited in my twenties was the artisan village of Biot.
I think Marseille would be très intéressant x
I’d love to cycle around Porquerolles Island, it looks so beautiful…& there are no cars.
