I have been to Venice twice and would love to go back. Here’s hoping! I have been on several holidays to Italy and would say it is my favourite European country.

I love Venice and I don’t think I can ever tire of visiting there. I have been several times. My last time, we went to the Doges Palace and I highly recommend people visit.

The Venetian’s protests against tourists are a great wake up call about how one discourse on a city can be so dominant – it’s similar to how climate change can be not discussed at all while the world falls apart. Venice struggles to deal with tourism and people’s primary imagery is ‘oooh so lovely to go and visit’. It’s fascinating.

Venice is iconic.Such a lovely city, but do ensure,if you visit, that you wander off the main tourist streets, there is so much to see!

Venice is such a romantic city, I’d love to return and spend more time exploring all the little canals and churches. The book sounds good, I hope I’m lucky.

I have never been to Venice, so don’t harm any tips, but would absolutely love to go! I haven’t been to Italy at all, but I’m sure I’d enjoy the scenery, food, coffee and wine!
