Venice or Venezia. There really is no other place like it.
My first visit was in 2007, I returned in 2017. However, in 1981, I met a friend visiting Unites States and he was from Venice.
After all those years; I had my personal tour guide last year.

You can purchase it here https://www.tripfiction.com/books/dream-venice-architecture/ from your favourite bookseller and it would be worth also having a look at Dream of Venice https://www.tripfiction.com/books/dream-of-venice/ … they are both beautiful books
One of the grandest experiences in the world. Even better at night after most of the tourists leave. Just hope it survives long enough to be more than a Disney museum stage
Have travelled to Venice now for a few times. Each time is gets harder and harder to leave – its like a little piece of my heart is left behind – coming back is like finding the missing pieces. It completes me …

The one and only Venice. We used to visit twice a year now a little less. Nevertheless Venice is on my mind, in my heart. We have a charter flight directly from Dubbrovnik to Venice I will certainly go this year and venture the calle the bridges squares churches museums emerging completely into the eternal city.
Venice stuns you with its beauty. As you spend more time there you realise it’s not an easy place to live. But if I got the chance of move there tomorrow!
I love Venice and want to go back soon!
I have not visited Venice yet, but it is high on my list of places I would love to see. The canals and gondola rides, the beautiful architecture, the rich history. I would love to experience it.
Venice is my infinite love. March 25 Venice celebrates its birthday. Happy Birthday Venice! love you!

Up until now I have only seen Venice in films (Don’t Look Now, Talented Mr Ripley) or read about it in books (Brideshead Revisted) but I am finally going there next week.
I never visited Venice, but saw many films with Venice. I visit would be a dream!

I adore Venice ..I m saving up to go…at moment I m trying to learn to pronounce all the landmarks names correctly…. X
I spent a weekend in Venice many years ago with my then partner and thought it was breathtaking! Would love to go back sometime- perhaps with a new love?! One can hope ☺
We took a day trip to Venice a few years ago (from Croatia) and it’s just magical. Even the cheesy gondola trip was fab, a perfect way too see the city!
I went to Venice for the first time almost 3 years ago. I had no idea what to expect. I arrived at dusk, stepped off the train, and walked out towards the canal. I literally dropped my bag, gasped and teared up at the first sight of the grand canal. Nothing short of magical. Even now, I am overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. Te amo, te amo, te amo
Just returned from a magical trip to Venice!
Stunning city and so magical
Beautiful city. Wish I could have spent more time there.
Ciao ! Venezia is the better place to live. Viva San Marco !
It shoud be noted that instead of blood, I have Venetian canal water coursing through my veins!!!!
I treasure a faded photo of my grandmother and grandfather in St Mark’s square, feeding the pigeons.
Many, many years later in 1986, I stood in that same spot on my own trip to this lovely , enchanted city.
I have never been to Venice before, but I hope to visit it some time soon. From everything that I have seen and read about it – it seems to be one of the most magical places in the world. I’m looking forward to my trip to Venice!
I have never been to Venice, but I’don’t definitely like to visit it some time soon. From all the pictures that I have seen of it and stories that I have read – it seems to be one of the most magical places in the world. I’m looking forward to getting to know it one day.
The architecture of Venice bedazzles and beguiles! The Pritzker Prize level group of essayists JoAnn Loctov has assembled for this book tell us how La Serenissima has inspired them in their work. And the photos! Definitely a book to spin a dream on – which is why I keep it next to my bed…
My visits have been all too brief. Staying for a longer time is on the bucket list.

Venice, a quirkily fascinating city rising from the lagoon, crisscrossed by canals and connected by a myriad of bridges…A lifetime to explore and so easy to adore!
that book will be great on my library! Even if I live in venice, there are many things that I may learn from the book. The funny think is that an American that love Venice so much, know the city better than me!
Is there any more romantic city? Paris is a close second but for pure visual and sensual delight – it’s Venice….always Venice.

Venice is a magical place, this book will be perfect for my home. I always want a way to put Venice in my luggage and take a piece home with me. There are many beautiful places in the world, but every time I have the opportunity to travel I choose Venice.
I took a solo trip to Venice for 10 days in 2017.
BEST. VACATION. EVER.
❤️❤️❤️
The next best thing to actually being able to go there!!
I love Venice and highly recommend people tour the Doges Palace.
Dreamy
Whilst we enjoy the usual tourist spots, we are also one of those couples who like to venture off. We found a lovely little family run pizzeria off the beaten track (if this can be said of somewhere as small as Venice) whilst there. So much cheaper and a lovely family ambiance, so much more so than the night we dined under the Rialto Bridge.
Ah Venice, I have been several times and no doubt I will go several times more. No matter how many times I wander around the calle and campi there is always something to see that I haven’t noticed before. My ‘dream’ is to one day live in Venice and become ‘100% Venessian’.
It was a pleasure to visit Venice. since I was the first time I started to want to live there. Is the most bohemian place and brings a kind of happiness-melancholy, that we all need at one time.
We love Venice – my first trip was with my Dad and son around 20 years ago. You warm to Venice immediately and there’s always an adventure around the next alleyway. Go off the well beaten track and you’ll find very reasonably priced restaurants and interesting places not in the guide books..
Ah Venezia! Introduced to me in films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and James Bond, it was one of the reasons when I left school I did a Contiki tour to Europe to see it in the 1980s. Saw it again in 2013…the changes are remarkable. Much more commercial, but still one of the most unique amazing places in the world!!!
It would be amazing to visit Venice.
It would be lovely to visit Venice.
I have always wanted to visit Venice – it looks stunning!
Just booked a holiday in May which includes a trip to Venice – can’t wait.
I love Venice! It is such a beautiful and magical city. I hope to return some day.
I want to live in Venice. God willing, I will. When I was 16, my mother and sisters and I were visiting my Grandparents in Trieste for the summer. I met a young man in our building who had a car. We picked up a man and woman hitch hikers and drove them to Venice. My friend knew people in Venice who owned a hotel where we dropped them. We drove back to Trieste, it was late and I got into so much trouble. Aww what beautiful memories.
I’m always dreaming of Venice – and hope to make a third visit one day.
Delightful! I love books to browse that depict other places in the world
I love Venice!
I loved my trip to Venice! It is one of the most beautiful places on earth!
Love Venice, been a couple of times, it’s so vibrant.
I would love to win this to give to my nephew, who is an architect & loves the beautiful buildings & cityscapes of Venice!
Never been to Venice but love reading about it and seeing programmes detailing the history.
Beautifull Venice…..being there was a wonderfull hartwarming and spirit uplifting time…..walking with my head in the clouds….and my feet on the bridges and at every corner a new adventure ❤
I loved Venice. We were only there for a couple of days as part of a rail tour of Italy but I think it was my favourite city.
I would love to win this. We went to Venice on honeymoon and I thought it was a beautiful place. I would love to have a copy of this book to bring back memories of a wonderful holiday….
I have never been to Venice but it looks so lovely I have it on my bucket list x
