Venice or Venezia. There really is no other place like it.
My first visit was in 2007, I returned in 2017. However, in 1981, I met a friend visiting Unites States and he was from Venice.
After all those years; I had my personal tour guide last year.
Venice Is A Lovely City. The history of this city Is built from the Architectural brilliant minds.

Even if I don’t win, where can I purchase the book? 🙂

One of the grandest experiences in the world. Even better at night after most of the tourists leave. Just hope it survives long enough to be more than a Disney museum stage

The one and only Venice. We used to visit twice a year now a little less. Nevertheless Venice is on my mind, in my heart. We have a charter flight directly from Dubbrovnik to Venice I will certainly go this year and venture the calle the bridges squares churches museums emerging completely into the eternal city.

I went to Venice for the first time almost 3 years ago. I had no idea what to expect. I arrived at dusk, stepped off the train, and walked out towards the canal. I literally dropped my bag, gasped and teared up at the first sight of the grand canal. Nothing short of magical. Even now, I am overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. Te amo, te amo, te amo

Many, many years later in 1986, I stood in that same spot on my own trip to this lovely , enchanted city.

The architecture of Venice bedazzles and beguiles! The Pritzker Prize level group of essayists JoAnn Loctov has assembled for this book tell us how La Serenissima has inspired them in their work. And the photos! Definitely a book to spin a dream on – which is why I keep it next to my bed…

Whilst we enjoy the usual tourist spots, we are also one of those couples who like to venture off. We found a lovely little family run pizzeria off the beaten track (if this can be said of somewhere as small as Venice) whilst there. So much cheaper and a lovely family ambiance, so much more so than the night we dined under the Rialto Bridge.

Ah Venice, I have been several times and no doubt I will go several times more. No matter how many times I wander around the calle and campi there is always something to see that I haven’t noticed before. My ‘dream’ is to one day live in Venice and become ‘100% Venessian’.

It was a pleasure to visit Venice. since I was the first time I started to want to live there. Is the most bohemian place and brings a kind of happiness-melancholy, that we all need at one time.

We love Venice – my first trip was with my Dad and son around 20 years ago. You warm to Venice immediately and there’s always an adventure around the next alleyway. Go off the well beaten track and you’ll find very reasonably priced restaurants and interesting places not in the guide books..

Ah Venezia! Introduced to me in films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and James Bond, it was one of the reasons when I left school I did a Contiki tour to Europe to see it in the 1980s. Saw it again in 2013…the changes are remarkable. Much more commercial, but still one of the most unique amazing places in the world!!!

I want to live in Venice. God willing, I will. When I was 16, my mother and sisters and I were visiting my Grandparents in Trieste for the summer. I met a young man in our building who had a car. We picked up a man and woman hitch hikers and drove them to Venice. My friend knew people in Venice who owned a hotel where we dropped them. We drove back to Trieste, it was late and I got into so much trouble. Aww what beautiful memories.
