I love the humour in it
It’s a different pace to other shows I watch, and of course the scenery and locations are gorgeous.
I love anything to do with animals and animal care.
It has such a charm about it that I find comforting to watch.
Brings back memories of the original series.
I love the slower pace of times gone by
seeing the stunning Yorkshire countryside
The beautiful Yorkshire Countryside. God’s own country – and mine !!!!
I love the innocence and Humour.
Also the original Herriott on TV was a local Chritopher Timothy, so all good memories
Beautiful settings, wonderful characters and storylines that pluck at my heartstrings! What’s not to love?
It’s funny!
I love the nostalgia
It was great Sunday night family television
I love the way they care for all their animal patients. I also love the vintage vehicles
It made me laugh
I love the way that the characters interact. They are very human stories, but the animals always come first
The nostalgia and comfort – a classic “Sunday cosy” watch
Set in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales during the 1930s and 1940s, the show and books offer a charming glimpse into rural life in a bygone era, evoking a sense of nostalgia.
How innocent and sweet it was – it’s a break away from modern life!
It reminds me of my childhood holidays, which were spent in the Yorkshire Dales
The animals are lovely but I really love their home, it’s just so cosy and cheery!
nostalgia pure nostalgia
I love the Yorkshire setting and the animals. My brother lives in Yorkshire and I’m passionate about animals and animal welfare (I would have loved to have trained as a vet) so that all helps of course!
Such a picturesque setting, the series is a pleasure to watch.
It takes me back to being a girl when I watched the original series, which eventually interested me in the books. It is such a warm and cosy story that takes us back to simpler times.
Love the action with the animals.
The stories, the actors, the locations and of course the stars of the show, the animals.
Reminds me of happy times watching when I was a child with my grandma who has sadly since passed away.
the characters.
so true to life in the dales whilst being highly entertaining, and no soft soaping how sad it could be as well
Love the location, the cast but more than all this love the animals
It’s so nostalgic
The gorgeous countryside x
A beautiful show in a beautiful setting. Entertaining and even slightly educational as people will learn about animals along the way. James is a great role model who is patient and learns from his mistakes. A bit of innuendo but not much. Great stories for the whole family
The brilliant cast, the drama and fabulous acting plus lots of cute animals.
The locations remind me of so many happy childhood holiday memories.
Hi, I always enjoyed the original series of All Creatures Great and Small but the latest series has been excellent, the stories, the actors and the wonderful locations have brought it to life in an exciting and moving way
The Yorkshire scenery.
It is such an easy watch – from the first series to the present one – characters are so believable and the animals – especially Tricky Woo – are lovely.
I loved the James Herriot books as a child, plus the original film and TV series, but this recent version has been just as wonderfully heartwarming due to the brilliant actors and casting and, of course, the magnificent locations. We have taken several Yorkshire holidays, which visits to Darrowby aka Thirsk (including the World of James of Herriot – site of the actual veterinary practice) and other locations relevant to the storylines. We are due to visit Yorkshire again next month and this book would make perfect holiday reading!
l have love reminiscing, loved the original version
I actually read the original series of books before the very first TV series was made, back in the seventies. As a Northerner myself, I loved the depictions of northern rural life, as well as all the brilliant characters in the stories
I love everything. The animals, the comedy, the great cast and the storylines.
