Anna Maria may have no name, no fortune, no family. But she has her ambition, and her talent.

Her best hope lies in her teacher, Antonio Vivaldi. Soon she is his star pupil.

But as Anna Maria’s star rises, not everyone is happy. Because Anna Maria’s shining light is threatening to eclipse that of her mentor.

She will leave her mark, whatever it takes. And her story will be heard.

Venice in winter with the mist is heaven – the atmosphere, the quiet. Special place for our family (Dad loves it so much he went there on both his honeymoons… Don’t tell the second wife!).

I love the twisting alleys that connect to the canals. Despite dismissing the warnings we quickly became lost in them.
The whole place feels like you are walking through time and history, of intriguing stories waiting to be shared by the ghosts.
