And the winners are (with their alter egos)…
In first place: Luke Hard
And runners up:
Bob Broadsword
Rendava Corbett
Elizabeth Moorland
Dani Black
Luc Toujours
John Bull
Miriam Forster
Madeleine France
Brandon Welsh
Alexandra Fox
I was told that your romantic novelist name is your middle name and the name of the street you grew up on, which for me is Elizabeth Moorland. I think she’d make a great English Detective!
I’d call my super sleuth Alexandra Fox, she’s my alter ego!
Rob Broadsword
Massimo Magnus
Sam Clayton
Capitaine Luc Furcloose !
Hello, the name I would give an investigator would be Drew Flowers.
Dani Black
Luc Toujours, a mysterious man with that Gallic je ne sais quoi, brimming with savoir faire, and naturellement a hit with les femmes.
Emma MCQueen
I would call my character Madeleine France
Penelope Seer…just off the top of my head!!
My super sleuth would be called Kitty Black- an ordinary young woman who gets dragged into solving an unexpected crime.
Serina Wisdom sounds like she might be quite clever!
My investigating detective would be called Rendava Corbett. Her name should have been Brenda Ava but her illiterate and drunken father spelt it wrong when he registered it. However she used it to her benefit and used both names in her working life.
I would call my super sleuth Brandon Welsh.
John Bull – JB for short.
Miss Pricilla Prenderghast
My detective heroine would be named Jenni Swift. She would have the curiosity, speed and mental agility of a bird but would be often underestimated or even dismissed as trivial by criminals and colleagues alike.
Morgan Taylor after my granddaughter, mad as a hatter but so stubborn she would never give up.
Becka Hardy
Luke Hard.
Nick Dew
Miriam Forster because it was my nana’s maiden name and she was a very clever lady who didn’t suffer fools gladly.
Kit Solver
Joel Starr – short, memorable and definite potential for a few dodgy astrology jokes.
