Enjoyed re-reading The Thirty-Nine Steps by John Buchan at the start of the year. Seems to be my year for re-reads having read The Mayor of Casterbridge for the first time since 1963 (O level) and The Secret Garden (my favourite book from childhood)

The nearest I’ve got to a spy book this year is Dead of Night by Simon Scarrow – which I enjoyed far more than I thought I would. I was a bit intimidated by it 🙂
