7th December 2025

Giveaway: 3 copies of Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel: Scarborough

UK ENTRY ONLY

GIVEAWAY - 3 copies of Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel

The fourth in the page-turning cosy crime series from Glenda Young, this unputdownable whodunnit is perfect for fans of Julia Chapman’s Dales Detective Agency and Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club.

Meet Tommy Two Shoes, Ballroom Bev and their quirky troupe of dancers when the glamorous world of ballroom dancing comes to the seaside town of Scarborough.

However, beneath the glitter balls and sequins, there’s bitter rivalry between the dancers – both on and off the dance floor – and the dancing turns deadly when one of them ends up dead.

Helen Dexter’s Seaview Hotel plays host to the dance troupe when the murder takes place. Aided by her rescue greyhound Suki and the Seaview Hotel cook Jean (a no-nonsense Yorkshire woman you don’t want to mess with!), Helen steps out and puts her best foot forward, but can she solve the crime?

The Seaview Hotel mystery series was shortlisted for Best New Crime Series alongside bestselling series by Richard Osman and Val McDermid in the Dead Good Readers Awards.

Living in the south of the UK, I am a little biased towards the rugged coastline of Cornwall.

However, my favourite destination for an all inclusive, day out experience, is Portsmouth. A museum, a park, a castle, great shopping and restaurants in nearby Gunwharf Quays and a long coastline walk – Heaven!

Sutton-on-Sea, Lincolnshire. A largely unspoilt seaside town (not over commercialised) with four miles of prom for walking and cycling and miles of sand. A new National Trust nature reserve has been dug out of the old golf course right next to the beach. A good footpath winds its way through recently formed lagoons. Early days but well worth a visit.
