Are you a fan of The Fortune Hotel? The second TV series has just landed, presented by Stephen Mangan which involves high stakes deception and blatant lying. Ten couples vye to win £250,000 secreted in one of 10 suitcases that are allocated to each contestant pair. They have to be devious, secretive and willing to go to extreme lengths to acquire or keep the suitcase containing the money. The other suitcases contain blanks and one scary card, which, if it is in a competitor’s possession at the end of the programme means immediate eviction from the show. The programme is part treasure hunt and part subterfuge as contestants are forced to swap the suitcases several times during each programme.
